Customer wants to pay on their own phone.
Steps
- Create sale/invoice in POS or open unpaid invoice in profile.
- Confirm Razorpay/payment-link gateway account is configured and active.
- For hosted checkout intents, use only configured Razorpay checkout accounts; for customer-device payment links, use accounts that support payment links.
- Confirm the invoice still has a positive balance; no link is needed for a fully paid invoice.
- Click Create payment link or Send link.
- Use Copy link from the generated payment-link row when staff will share the URL manually. Copy link works without Email, SMS, or WhatsApp provider setup.
- Choose Send link by Email, SMS, or WhatsApp only when a connected provider and sender exist.
- SquareOS records sent status only after the engagement send path accepts the message, so failed provider setup does not create false sent history.
- After payment, verify payment status from transactions/payment state.
Correct outcome
Customer pays on their device and the invoice/payment reconcile back to SquareOS.
