Appointment Categories define one-to-one service types such as PT, consultation, assessment, trial slot, or tour, including duration, cancellation cutoff, trainer/room rules, and session-pack behavior.

Before you start

  • Cancellation cutoff minutes determines when regular cancel becomes late cancel and whether consumed PT/session balance is restored.
  • Use subtypes only when staff need specific variants under the category.
  • Virtual appointments should use virtual link rules; physical appointments should respect room/trainer conflicts.

Daily workflow

  • Create appointment category before front desk books sessions.
  • Test booking, regular cancellation, late cancellation, attendance, and no-show with a session-pack member.
  • Review PT dashboard and person profile balance after testing.

Watch out

  • Wrong cancellation cutoff can create real financial/service disputes with PT members.
