Before you start
- Create category and brand before product when the gym wants clean retail reporting.
- Product is the parent item; SKU is the sellable variant with barcode, price, cost, tax, and stock handling.
- Company Level products can be reused across gyms. Current Tenant products belong to one gym and require Tenant selection.
- Product actions are View Details, Edit Product, Create SKU, Disable, and Enable. Detail drawer repeats the high-risk actions so staff can inspect context first.
- Create Product requires Category, Product Name, and Code. Brand, Description, Image, and Attributes are optional but should be filled when they improve staff search or reporting.
- Use attributes such as size, color, flavor, or pack count only when they help staff identify the exact item.
- SKU creation requires Product, SKU Code, SKU Name, and Unit Price. Barcode, Cost Price, Opening Quantity, Reorder Level, Publish Gyms, and variant attributes complete stock/report behavior.
- Publish existing SKU only after price, barcode, and stock are checked. Use Price Override only when a gym sells the same SKU at a different price.
- Published/sellable status controls whether front desk can sell the SKU. Do not publish incomplete SKUs.
- Use stable barcodes and avoid reusing one barcode across different items.
Daily workflow
- Create category, brand, product, attributes, SKU, barcode, price, cost, tax group, and visibility.
- Review product/SKU before the item is stocked or sold.
- When a product is discontinued, unpublish or deactivate it instead of deleting history.
Watch out
- Do not edit historical price/cost fields casually after sales exist. Use approved price changes or new SKUs where finance needs clean history.

Communications
Communications is the channel operations page for provider accounts, sender identities, templates, inbox operations, opt-outs, dead letters, and delivery health.
Migration Center
Migration Center is used when an existing gym is moved into SquareOS from another system. It stores source-system profiles, uploaded archive files, import jobs, validation, preview, and execution status.
