Before you start
- Plan duration defines membership validity. Sale-time payment arrangement defines whether the customer pays in full, recurring, or EMI.
- How long the membership plan lasts before renewal or expiry.
- Number of months for a custom-duration plan.
- Base price, tax group, eligibility, freeze/transfer/upgrade rules, and service entitlement must match the real offer sold at the desk.
- Do not create duplicate plans only to represent installment terms. Use payment arrangement during checkout.
Daily workflow
- Before go-live, create only the plans staff can actually sell and support.
- Test one sale per high-value plan to confirm tax, invoice, entitlement, and reports.
- When changing price or duration, decide whether existing members keep old terms or only new sales use the change.
Watch out
- Changing a live plan can affect checkout and reporting. Keep old plans inactive rather than deleting history.
