Before you start
- Report template actions are All Reports, Filters, Run Report, Saved Filters, Schedule, Runs, Edit Filters, Refresh, Export, CSV, and XLSX.
- Report template fields are Saved filter, Centres, Time Period, Centers, and Format.
- Report drawer tabs are Filters and Run, Saved Filters, Schedule, and Runs.
- Filters & Run supports date range From/To, month filters, single-select filters with All option, multi-select filters, boolean filters, Run, Export CSV, and Export XLSX.
- Report saved filter fields are Filter Name, Description, Visibility, and Mark as default.
- Saved filter visibility options are Private, Brand Default, and Role Default. Role default should be used only when the same role should inherit the view.
- Report schedule fields are Schedule Name, Cron Text, Recipient Email, and Export Format.
- Schedule payload stores report key, cron text, current filters, optional saved filter, export format, active state, and delivery JSON for email recipients.
- Report schedules and saved filters must be reviewed before treating a recurring export as active.
- Run history shows report key, requested date, status, export readiness, and preparing state for CSV/XLSX files.
- When Export is clicked, the template runs the report, creates a report run, reloads the workspace, and polls run history for an export file. If the run fails, the error is shown on the run.
- Choose date range, location, staff, status, category, and other filters according to the business question before running.
- For finance reports, confirm whether the question is about invoice date, payment date, settlement date, refund date, or outstanding balance.
- For sales reports, confirm whether the question is about created leads, stage movement, won deals, lost deals, tasks, or collected revenue.
- Save filters only when the view should be reused. Scheduled exports should use reviewed filters and trusted recipients.
- Export rows only after verifying row count, date range, tenant/location scope, and columns.
Daily workflow
- Open the report from the catalog, set filters, run report, and inspect the first rows for expected people/invoices/tasks/classes.
- Save the view if it is a recurring owner or manager question.
- Download/export or schedule only after the result matches the intended operating question.
Watch out
- Do not make business decisions from a report whose filters are unclear. Re-run with explicit date and location filters before sharing.
