Before you start

  • Use stock movements for restock, adjustment, damage, transfer, shrinkage, and correction. Use checkout for customer sale.
  • Opening quantity should be entered once at setup. Later changes need movement reason and note.
  • Low-stock threshold should reflect real sales velocity and reorder timing.
  • Scanner/barcode actions should identify one SKU unambiguously before staff changes stock or sells.
  • Inventory view search matches SKU name, product name, product code, SKU code, barcode, category, and brand.
  • On Hand is physical recorded stock, Reserved is stock held for orders, and Available is what staff should use for sale or transfer decisions.
  • Recent movements on the inventory detail drawer show movement type, quantity delta, timestamp, and reference type.
  • Movement batches should use a clear note such as supplier invoice, stock count, damage, inter-branch transfer, or correction approval.
  • Returns should link back to the original sale or invoice where possible.

Daily workflow

  • Review low-stock list, scan or search SKU, and confirm current stock.
  • Record incoming stock or adjustment with reason, quantity, and note.
  • At day close, compare physical count against sold items, returns, and movement history.

Watch out

  • Do not use inventory adjustment to hide a missed sale. If a customer bought an item, complete retail checkout so money and stock both reconcile.
  • Use the left menu to open related pages in Daily Gym Operations.
